This size is optimal for vegetables that need more time in the greenhouse before transplanting to the field, like peppers, tomatoes and eggplant. This is also a closer match to the standard pot size used for perennials and herbs. Once planted, the #4 Square Tall stays intact for up to 4 months in a greenhouse setting. If not planted and kept in a cool dry location, shelf life is indefinite.
