An ET weather station and a PC can communicate over a public switched telephone network by using the 10585 Telephone Modem Kit. The PC must be equipped with a Hayes-compatible modem. The kit includes a COM220 telephone modem, a 20 ft cable allowing attachment to the enclosure, burial splice kit for attachment to a phone line, and a phone cable to connect the COM220 to the RJ11C telephone jack. Surge protection is built into the weather station's board.
