The Spears 850-020 is a 2" Mipt SCH80 PVC Plug. A PVC plug is used to stop the flow of fluid inside the fitting. Unlike a cap where it stops the flow in the pipe, a plug will allow the flow to enter a fitting, preventing it from exiting an outlet. It is a genuine Spears product.
